Your image says a lot when you meet someone for the first time, which can either make a second date or break the first date. If you are actively dating, or trying to actively date you will need these tips

  • You need to be clean by putting on fresh clean clothes
  • Make sure you shower right before your date
  • Don't use too much cologne
  • Your hair, teeth and fingernails have to be clean, also trimming any excess hairs
  •  Dress appropriately for your date and if in doubt, ask your date what he or she will be wearing, you can always pretend you need this information to identify him or her
  • Shave; don’t go on your first date with even the slightest stubble
  • Don't try to look past the first date, enjoy yourself and see what happens
  • If you are setting up the date don’t plan too many events, just in case you don’t hit it off with your date
  • Pick a location where you can talk to your date without having to scream over loud music
  • Always plan to meet your date at the date location, this way you can always have a way out without all the pressures and so will your companion
  • If you really had a great time and you can sense your date had a great time, make arrangements for your next date, but if your date seems uninterested, move on
  • Always be yourself, don't try to be someone you think he or she wants you to be
  • If you are having fun with your date and you can sense he or she is having a good time too, it's time to start flirting
  • You can do this by smiling and looking into your date’s eyes (lock eyes for several seconds and then look down for a few seconds), which shows you are having fun and will make your date feel comfortable
  • For women, tossing your hair to one side and exposing your neck is very intriguing to men, also crossing your legs
  • At the end of your date don't feel pressured to hug or kiss your date if you have no feelings, so as not to send the wrong message
  • Your first kiss should be with your lips closed, If things progress that’s fine, but don't try to stick your tongue down your dates throat. This is very presumptuous and a big turn off
